How to see liked posts on Instagram
Each day, there are over 500 million active users on Instagram--which is only 1/3rd of the app's total number of regular users. If you're trying to grow your Instagram engagement, there are plenty of eager users out there who are looking for content.
Because Instagram can feel so intuitive and we see so many users finding success with it, we often skip the simple stuff in our own pursuit of success. We don't select Settings to see how our account is set up, we don't track optimal posting times, and we don't learn how to see liked posts on Instagram.
As always, we're here to teach you more about social media. Today, we're going to take it back to the basics.
Read on to learn everything you need to know about tracking the likes on a specific post.
Why Should You Select Settings?
If you've never taken a look at your Instagram settings, now is the time to do so. First, tap the profile icon in the bottom left corner of the app. Then, select Settings under the dropdown menu found in the top right corner.
This is where you can control everything from your privacy status (we recommend going public to increase your views) to your notifications. If you've been wondering why Instagram hasn't been letting you know that your posts are gaining traction, it's probably because you've turned notifications off. Turn them back on for Instagram only or for all of your social media accounts if you're trying to gain popularity across platforms.
How Can You See Your Likes On The Instagram App?
How can you see who's liking your posts on Instagram? Tracking your likes is a great way to see how successful different types of posts are. By tracking the time stamp on each like, you can also learn more about when your followers are active and the best time to post on Instagram.
There are a few ways to see your likes on Instagram and to keep track of your most-liked Instagram post. One is to catch them as they roll in. We've already talked about how you can receive notifications to your phone, but you can also track notifications in the app, as well. Head to the main timeline and click the heart in the upper right corner to see your recent likes, follows, and comments.
What if you want to see the likes on an older Instagram post? Head to your profile and click on the post you want to learn more about. You'll notice that below the post, you will see, "Liked by" followed by a specific user and then a number.
Click on the number to open the full list of Instagram users who have liked your post. This will also show you whether or not you're following the people who liked your post, making it easy to give everyone a follow back if you so choose.
Bonus tip: users can now "like" your story posts, which is great news for anyone who is trying to gauge their engagement levels. To view Story likes, open your Story and click on the icon showing who has viewed your story so far. As you scroll through the list, you'll see who "liked" your story post and who simply viewed it without reacting.

How Can You Look At Posts You've Liked On Instagram?
How can you go back and see your own previously liked posts? Scrolling through the feed or trying to remember the Instagram user's handle isn't always effective. Fortunately, there's another way.
Head back to your own profile and open that same drop-down menu that brought you to Settings. Then, select Your activity (just one notch below Settings). Next, navigate to Interactions, which will show you all previous interactions including previously liked posts.
Why is this a useful tool to be aware of? When you're trying to grow your own Instagram account, it's important to learn from the success of others, particularly those accounts that are working within your niche. Every so often, go through your previously liked posts and take note of what's working and what you can implement in your own content.
Can You See What Other Users Are Double Tapping?
What other posts are attracting the attention of your followers? What types of content do they seem to gravitate towards? Is there a simple way that you can see what other users are double-tapping?
The answer is no, not anymore. Back in 2019, Instagram disabled a feature that allowed you to view the activity of other users. Why did they do this? According to one of the higher-ups, it was boiled down to a few factors: the feature was adding clutter to the interface, no one really used it, and a lot of people were uncomfortable realizing that their activity was so easy to trace.
Does that mean you can never gauge what your followers are liking and interacting with at all? Not exactly.
When you scroll through your feed, you'll notice that you can see how many likes other posts are getting. You can also see who is doing the double-tapping. In this way, you can manually gather data and get to know your followers a little bit better.
